Ferrous Metals
Iron and steel are the world’s most recycled materials, and amongst the easiest materials to reprocess. Every year a large amount of steel scrap is recycled for production of new steel. Steel scrap has the special feature that it inexhaustibly can be used as a high-quality secondary raw material, without quality deterioration of the material. Any grade of steel can be recycled to top quality new metal, with no downgrading from prime to lower quality materials as steel is recycled repeatedly. 42% of the crude produced is recycled material.
